Frying pan for omelettes and Swedish pancakes - made of waste iron.

The frying pan is made of cast iron that is burned with three layers of rapeseed oil. Nice for a Sunday brunch.

Sustainable on several levels. Swedish designer and artist Åsa Jungnelius took old, disguarded glass molds of wood. No one wanted these old things. Useless. But she started carving in these and made a new mold - out of the old one. And then used recycled glass to make new things.

So recycling on several levels. Almost all glass pieces will be unique since they are hand carved from old molds.

Love this. Smart. And sustainable.

I was at @orgatec the other week and found this Swedish studio called Filamental (@filamental_furniture). The studio makes 3D printed furniture. That’s not completely new but what I liked was that it only took 30 minutes to make the stand for a table. That’s fast. Normally a furniture piece would take 8-12 hours to print.

This material is post consumer waste material and added cellulose.

I like the side table but also the whole collection in general. The lamp is nice too.

Rumour is that Filamental will design a whole new collection for Design House Stockholm. Can’t wait to see it.
